“Electrophysically treated compressed air in application processes improves the quality of the paint job.” This was the title of the report published by the trade magazine “besser lackieren” on November 18, 2011. It is documented here verbatim.
With a newly developed system for compressed air preparation, which filters, ionizes and heats the air using a special process, paint shop operators can work more efficiently in terms of materials and energy. It reduces overspray, significantly increases the AWG and ensures high quality.
The innovative "AirMatic" system from Ensutec Products GmbH, Altheim, prepares the compressed air for application processes using newly developed technology. The highly pure compressed air meets at least the requirements of ISO 8573-1, Class 1, and is therefore suitable for a wide range of application processes in painting and surface technologies. The purity exceeds the strict standards of Class 1 of the directive with regard to oil vapor and oil mist filtration. The systems can be used in automatic (e.g. robots, flat coaters, rotary spindle systems) and manual application. Coaters benefit from a significantly improved AWG, as the highly pure compressed air is additionally ionized and heated at the same time. The atomization air and the amount of paint consumed can be significantly reduced through finer atomization and a visibly quieter and more uniform paint finish. With the "AirMatic" modules, the user can prepare any amount of compressed air required decentrally at the point of use and access it continuously.
In this way, systems with extremely high compressed air requirements can be operated at very high quality. The drying processes take less time due to the heating of the compressed air. This results in a reduction in oven energy and an increase in capacity.
Overall, users increase energy and material efficiency. The absence of dust during painting also makes work more pleasant and reduces health risks for employees. The new system can significantly reduce the VOC-relevant solvents in the paints.
"AirMatic" is compact and, according to the manufacturer, can be easily integrated into existing systems in addition to the existing application technology. The modules are almost maintenance-free - only the filters need to be changed from time to time. Three different models with different performance levels are currently available.
