The Siebrecht automobile group has stood for the best service and competent services in all aspects of mobility for over 100 years. At Germany's largest Opel fleet and commercial vehicle center, based in Uslar, Lower Saxony all services come from one source. This includes all types of paintwork. In order to increase the quality of the in-house paintwork and to use resources and energy as effectively as possible, the family business works with three airmatic systems from ensutec Products GmbH. A report on this appeared in specialist magazine “schaden.news”, from which we quote excerpts.
The airmatic technology is a patented system technology that can be installed with little effort in addition to the existing application technology. The airmatic atomization optimization wherever air atomization or air-assisted painting and coating is used.
During the painting process, the heating or air conditioning of the atomizing air ensures that Siebrecht has constant temperature conditions throughout the year. The specially developed high-voltage unit (EMP unit) guides the compressed air through a neutral electrical field. This ensures an even droplet size distribution and a particularly homogeneous paint jet. "This means we can save up to 20% of paint in our painting processes," explains Roland Erdmann, head of the paint shop. The drying time at Siebrecht has also been reduced thanks to the airmatic atomization optimization. "This speeds up our throughput times and helps us to optimize energy and employee costs," says the paint shop manager happily.
In addition to the better paint result, the Siebrecht painters were also positively impressed by the ergonomic handling of the paint hose. Despite the integrated electric heating, the hose is light and flexible to handle. "In use, there is almost no difference to the conventional paint hose standard," explains Roland Erdmann. The ensutec hoses are ATEX compliant and can be replaced easily and inexpensively at any time.
The latest development from ensutec, the airmatic revolution, has also been in use by the Siebrecht automotive group for several months. The system enriches the painting air with the basic additive "femaBlue" and thus ensures a constant humidity throughout the entire painting process. The process makes additional humidification of the booth air, which is one of the biggest cost drivers in the painting process, superfluous.
"By using the airmatic revolution, we can almost completely do without oven drying and thus significantly reduce our heating energy costs," says Roland Erdmann happily, adding: "At the same time, there is less running and overspray during the painting process. A great development that our employees are also happy about because the finishing effort is significantly reduced."
“Overall, with the airmatic systems we achieve perfect coordination of our processes, including with regard to our paint materials,” says paint shop manager Erdmann, summarizing the problem-free handling of the ensutec technologies.
Autohaus Siebrecht also had a positive impression of the uncomplicated and professional support provided by ensutec. "From the initial contact, through the test phase, to the final installation, we always felt that we were in good hands and well advised by ensutec," recalls the Siebrecht staff.
